You shipped it. Will people actually use it?

Notes from building consumer products: what makes people use them, and what I learn along the way.

Questions I keep coming back to

  • What makes an app part of an ordinary day?
  • Why do people stop opening an app they used to like?
  • How do you find your first users when your whole market is one campus?
  • Why do travel apps go quiet between trips?

      Say hi

I'd love to hear from you.

Tell me about an app you love or gave up on, something that annoyed you lately, or where you think I got it wrong. I read every note, and some of them turn into posts.

      What is it about?
